Update again: There has been some success. After using the speed bleeder valve it has improved and a test ride was MUCH better than before. It's a simple device really but sure has caused quit a lot of work.
The lever feel is marginally better and any added movement of the pressure plate isn't noticeable.
However, the proof is in the riding. It could be a little better or it might just be me but it is very ridable now. One has to be persistent at such matters. I also noticed I could add something to the lever adjustment mechanism to make it push the master piston just a little more. I may try this in the near future but for now, wears my jacket and helmet.
