Thank you guys for the replies and help, sadly I have decided not to advance with the purchase, I got a headache even before buying it and to me the ultimate reward would be something rather normal which is to have a functional working bike. I don’t have time or recourses to troubleshoot. In addition the traffic laws where I come from are extremely, well there are none really ! So a faulty bike is 10x more dangerous. Thanks for all the help and glad my thread contributed to something positive.

I have a good idea of traffic, at least in Cairo where transit buses sometimes only slow down to pick up passengers. It is crazy to witness. I'll leave it at that.
