By the way, how much do you notice the difference in width when seated on the bike and hands on the grips?

I also have those ebay/knockoff mirrors. I park my bike outside (covered) and noticed the mirrors are no longer black. They've turned a root beer bronze color from all of the heat and solor radiation. They seem to get lighter and lighter each time I ride the bike. It really bothered me at first but It's growing on me. I'll try to take some photos of the unexpected new color later.

Guth, they are about an inch narrower on each end. I believe you own a Hawk, as do I, so think along those lines for width, with the Type IIs probably being a little wider.

Joola, thanks for the input. I guess I'll have to keep an eye on them, although hopefully keeping the bike in the garage will help. If they turn out to be a bust -- cosmetically or functionally -- I'll look at other options. I replaced the stock mirrors on my Hawk GT with Aprilia Tuono mirrors and they worked great.

I snapped a photo of my "black" ebay mirrors. You can see from some of the older photos I posted, these used to be pure black. The color has faded over the last few months and they look like this now.

Those mirrors look like they would work nicely with Silascopathic's CB. Haven't seen him post in a while.

I thought the same thing. The only reason I referred to this color as "root beer" was because it reminded me of his wheels.

Looks like it's been about a month since Silas checked in. Hope everything is ok.

Are these Type II bars available anywhere in the states?
Also, does anyone have the exact width measurement of each bar?
I think I may get a pair of these too, also being a bicycle rider used to leaning over more and hoping for more seat comfort.

I do not have exact measurements, as I'm traveling, but can attest that they are narrower, lower and with less pullback. They dramatically improved comfort and control for me. Best of my knowledge, they are not available via US sources, but Takashi will hook you up.
