Here is a video of the remus powercone slip-on that I made when I first installed. The muffler with the baffle in is almost as quiet as stock, with a little deeper tone. I removed baffle while still running so you could better hear the difference. It has even more of a bass sound and a little louder. It is not obnoxiously loud though. I have been off of work on vacation and bored, so I have been playing around with trying to post videos. I still can not figure out how to add video to a previous thread, so I have to start a new thread with each video. Sorry for any confusion or annoyance. Thanks.

Here in Southern California we are blessed with many great motorcycle roads; S2 - Angeles Crest Highway (Newcomb's Ranch), S74 - Ortega Highway (The Lookout), Mulholland Highway (The Rock Store), S39 - Chrystal Lake... etc..

While many of these roads are a stones throw from my home base here in "The OC" (hated that TV show, BTW... I digress), I have an affection for a particular 7 mile section of road that is 150 miles from my house, S22.

Since I'm retired, I can ride these roads during the week, while the working-class hero's are toiling at their menial jobs... LOL, suckers!

And so on a perfect Tuesday morning me and a few of my fellow retirees met at an undisclosed location to plan a day ride to wherever we pleased. We decided to head south into San Diego county, perhaps to Julian for a piece of apple pie.

Along the way I kept thinking we MUST ride S22 on our days journey. So, at the next pit stop I suggested we head for Borrego Springs to ride S22. All agreed, and so we set our compasses (okay, GPS) for Borrego Springs and the legendary S22.

As we descended down S22 toward Borrego Springs my CB1100 was in her element; third gear at 3K to 6K rpm she sang that sweet song of motorcycle Nirvana. My modified suspension was spot on! The CB1100 brakes were seamless as I burned off speed for the next perfect hair-pin corner.

As you can tell, the days ride was epic, and worth every one of the 150 miles it took to ride S22.

Anyone in the north Florida, south Georgia looking for a new 2013 CB1100 can find one at Honda of Jacksonville. Did not see a price on it.

I've been keeping an eye on cb1100's for sale and am very surprised to see prices in the 6000 range commonly now!

even though the bonneville is $2k cheaper new, the used prices are comparable. Do you think that the depreciation of the 2013 model cb is comparable with the industry average or this is a sign of weak demand? What happens to used 2013 prices when the 2015 does/does not come out?

Seems like the cb is better deal than ever, and the retro market is hot, but maybe the media and the market are looking more to the guzzi v7/bmw rnine/ducati scrambler for their edginess?

Sorry guys if it is mentioned elsewhere but I can´t find it. What is the PartNumber for the correct Kawi gaiters that fit on a CB?

Boy, this is embarassing but I need to post this for others and swallow my pride. These people contact you and offer to sell your motorcycle on like 20 websites and claim to make money off financing ect.... I fell for it hook line and sinker. They are a bunch of goof balls when it comes down to knowing a CB1100 from a H2 Kawasaki.

Long story short, they screwed up my adds so bad I got suspicious. They had the CB as a V twin. I have called my credit card company already trying to dispute the charges. Looks like Im probably out of luck even though this happened today. Im going to plead my case Monday AM again but Im going to lose. If you guys ever get a call from these people please dont bite. I am ashamed and embarrassed but dont want to see this happen to anyone else and that is the reason for the posting. I am mad at myself beyond belief.

Hello all you CB peeps.

I'm just checking back in to let you all know I'm still alive.

I've been absent for some time but I may be back on track on a semi permanent basis, should my comments be welcome.

I know prior to my absence, I was a divider of opinion, but I still love my CB.

May I also say, Spaceman is the main reason I stayed around and came back. What a guy!

I have a little over 6000m now and I just went for a spirited ride and it felt sloppy, I got home and the chain is loose as expected, I need to know what size the 2 rear axle nuts are, I thought I had the right sizes but apparently not.
