Sizing of exhaust end for custom slip on
Posted by: Waldo_imp - 12-30-2014, 11:31 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - No Replies

I'm buying a custom slip on exhaust for my bike and needed to know the diameter of the exhaust for sizing. I measured it and got about 1" 5/8 but I feel it could just as easily be 1" 1/2 Then again I heard that it was measured in metric not standard. So if anyone could help me out that'd be great, thanks in advance.

Disregard, accidentally posted twice.

  Driving Dynamics

What tips/driving dynamic specifics to the motorcycle would you tell someone about the CB1100? Specifically for someone that has never driven a CB1100. I have heard the brakes are super strong.

Are you left-handed, right-handed, or neither?

Poll posted on CA200's behalf.

How many of you who ride are left-handed, right-handed or both? The percentage of left-handed motorcyclists that CA200 encountered during his time in the business was higher than most might expect.

Going to put it on today. It's not a backrest (I'm resisting one of those at all costs) but it will give my wife something other than my love handles to hold onto.

  differences in rear carriers
Posted by: Volchkoff_imp - 12-29-2014, 12:27 AM - Forum: Accessories/Modifications - Replies (2)

Dear friends,

On Samurider website there are 2 types of rear carrier:

1. 08L70-MGC-N40
2. 08L42-MGC-000

What is a difference between them?

Dear colleagues,

I investigated our forum and I can say, that there are at least 2 producers not listed here:

1. LSL. German producer. Quality so good. I used before their crash pads on my previous bike.

2. Crazy Iron. I think it is Russian producer. One of our forum member, Vladimir, uses it. We can ask him to give us some comments about it.

  Dented Exhaust?
Posted by: metallyguitarded_imp - 12-28-2014, 05:18 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (9)

I think I may have dented my exhaust this afternoon when I entered my driveway slightly too fast and at too much off of angle and bottomed out. I heard and felt a solid bang. Once up on the center stand, I looked underneath and there's a decent sized indentation just off to the left of center. The problem is I don't know what it looked like before. I'll try to find some pictures online but if it's not too much trouble, can one of you with a stock exhaust take a photo of the exhaust along the bottom of the bike (left side, center)? I doubt it will have any effect on performance but I hate the thought of having any part of the bike banged up. Is this a sign that I should get a full aftermarket exhaust besides my second thoughts?

Edit: I know what you're thinking: "Hey Einstein, why don't you take a picture of this so called dent and post it and have us look at our bike instead of asking us to take photos and post them?" And that would be a good point. So, here's what I've got:

For orientation, the bolt is the oil drain bolt and the front of the bike is to the left. Thanks in advance!
