What did you do on or to your CB 1100 today

I rode to Historic St. Mary's City to meet my friend Dave who I used to work with daily. That was thirteen years ago, so we had a lot of catching up to do over a couple pints at the pub. I parked the bike next to an open spot, hoping Dave would park his beautifully restored Triumph TR6 beside me. Alas, he drove the Tacoma. Dave retired from government service and now works in his own garage for his son's startup. He accidentally bought a Lotus off BaT, so next time I think we need to meet at Dave's place.

P.S. - the frame buildings in the photo are built in the location of buildings that existed in the original city almost four hundred years ago.

Before posting here, I tried to find a...

"Better Late Than Never,"
"C'mon Dude That Was Two Months Ago!"

...thread, but no luck, so posting here:

In my defense, a truck has been parked here nearly 24/7 since August.

Brand new mural, just down the block, painted by a very sweet neighbor on the side of "The Little Blue Store," our local spot for various goods and sundries and fresh Ethiopian food-to-go here in Milwaukie Oregon.

Do feel free to start start such a thread, LucienLeFranc.

Nice pic.

I'd better get a picture first. 😜

I do have a very Portland Oregon idea for "sports" in the back of my head, though....

That said, probably best to try to hand in today's homework on time: go on a CB hunt (is everywhere this thick with retro Triumphs, or is it a Portland thing??).

Gotta go find a real motorcycle....

I Removed those nasty safety stickers on the tank.
New front brake and clutch fluid, clutch was like Coffee, amazing it worked. Wonder if it was origional.
Did some cleaning and waxing, more to go.
Found the Bestrom box that came on the bike was cracked at the bottom where it slides in the base plate. Oh well, thought it was too large and bulbous anyway. Moved my soft tail pack over from the Nighthawk.
Found my front brakes dragging too much, cleaned the pad pins and brake pistons. Now can spin wheel 2 turns.
What really is normal?
Nighthawk only has 1 disc., spins forever it seems.
More to go...

Today, more going through my new to me CB. Found the air filter full of mouse house. I rode that bike 260 miles! Had it over 100 mph! Might run even better now.20261003_120948.webp20261003_121017.webpHere's the mouse pile, and heres my fix so it never happens again.
Done this to all my vehicles over the last few years.
Hardware cloth, quarter inch mesh.

That's a substantial house, Pete in PA. I hope they paid you a generous rental.
