Let's see your CB1100 out on the road!

Thanks, Ferret. To be honest, I hesitated to install them. After reading about the HP gains, the improved aerodynamics, and the effect on female onlookers, I wondered if I had the skill level necessary to actually handle a set of rlets. Having done it now, I'm pretty sure the 8-10 claimed HP bump is accurate (seat-of-the-pants; will have to dyno to confirm) and the exhaust note is definitely deeper. What I didn't expect was the better handling. I'm sure one of the engineers here can explain how just a bit of extra mass plus the momentum arm of the bars and levers makes the steering and suspension finally work just as Honda designed them to. That enhanced handling gives me the confidence to really use all the extra power--I can enter turns at much higher speeds and know that the balanced weight of twin pipes and matching rlets will keep me safe. Don't know why I waited.
See..he gets it!

Funny, I think I've seen that scene before...

Love that '50 International L-110 in the background! It seems that the married couple inside took their vows seriously.

3rdbike, how do you know (a) they're a couple; and (b) that they were married? It might have been Mr Brown who was having a thing with Mrs Smith when Mrs Brown caught them at it, dealt with them and left them for kenny to find.

Well Cormanus, my 'joke' played off the marriage vow of "until death do us part". Your angle could've played out too!

3rdbike, I got the joke and laughed even. I was trying to continue it.

Maybe I'll post the photo in a new thread with an invitation to members to tell us what they the real back story may be ...

All I know is they didn't offer any help changing the oil in the CB. I think they may have gone a little lazy in their old age.

It was a little windy, but a nice day. Winds shifted a bit and brought in the volcanic haze (vog) from the Big Island.
