I understand that you treat your bike with kid gloves and cotton rags. But I want to know from anyone who has ridden/tooled their bike enough to have dropped it. Can you pick it up by yourself?
Since I ride solo, this is a big issue for my final decision to purchase this bike. It is not like I can walk into a dealer and ask to lay a bike down on the floor.
'Fess up, you dropped it, heart sank, adrenaline kicked in, and............

I replied in your other post...but I have had to put mine upright twice. No problems at all. I even can pivot it on the side stand although Cormanus won't believe me until I provide video documentation.

I've picked mine up once. I'm little, old and feeble.

I'm little old and feeble too :D and yesterday stopped mine from hitting the deck after a stationary bad kickstand lowering. It's manageable.

Helps to have case savers. Once its' on the case savers you can rest, readjust your grip and pop her up the rest of the way. She's pretty easy to pick up - if you're not on gravel nor hurt.

I've seen that video before. Wasn't it posted on the forum once?

Nicely done, Ron. :)

I have dropped it.

I was pinned under it. As it happened it was loaded with gear, so the strapped-on bags provided pillows and space. But only that there were passers-by, was how I got out.

They also had the good manners to help me hoist it up. But the truth of it is...I'm not the best judge. I'm 57 and have back issues.

If you can handle heavy weights, you can probably get this up. You won't be able to bend and hoist it; you'll have to put your back to it. You may want a portable jack.
