3D printed RLET protectors would probably sell well around here, lol.nine876_imp said:3D printed RLET protectors would probably sell well around here, lol.Gone in 60_imp said:This reminds me of a guy on the Ford Fiesta ST forum who has made a cottage industry from 3D printing and selling small bits for the car to forum members to solve little annoyances. One is a blocker piece to keep items from dropping into a gap around the brake handle, another is a small cup to help retrieve items from a hard-to-access portion of the center console.
What other convenient items can be 3D printed for the CB1100? RLETs in different colors, perhaps? My dream has always been to have someone produce the "female" mounting portions of a Givi Monokey box, so that I can attach them to any box I like and snap it in place on my Monokey rack - a vintage style briefcase, for example.
Ahh neat to see them on other peoples bikes. Was the strap to wide for the slot or why did you leave out the middle part? I guess as long as it does hold that's also fine.j3gq_imp said:... and this is what it looks like :

Nice 'n' practical use of a 3D print job.1973cb750_imp said:a little nub would be had so if your strap comes loose it will kinda stay instead of just falling off just a idea it could kinda click into place![]()

How much they will be able to hold depends on print settings and material you could print them in titanium ... probably expensive and not worth it but you could.1973cb750_imp said:how much weight will they hold? 3d printed stuff i have no experience with

That's why on the page I mention you should test them and make sure you are comfortable with them as I can give zero guaranties about how they will behave on your bike.
For me printed in PETG on a Prusa i3 MK3 they are a snug fit no room to add a bump they just would not fit with one anymore. They are not meant to be left on the bike they're meant to stay with the luggage as prolonged exposure to the elements is probably not ideal for most plastics even if this print is pretty chunky.
