10 second video worth seeing: safety

[furious_blue_imp]

Apologies if this has made everyone's rounds already..

It's so almost unbelievable, yet so potently possible, that it's worth the 10 seconds of one's time to see it..

I'm at a loss for words, really...

[redbirds_imp]

Wonder what the whole story was on that.

[furious_blue_imp]

Wonder what the whole story was on that.

Meaning that perhaps the incident was provoked ?
hmmm.. I hadn't thought of that though it is possible..
it is somewhat odd that someone would start to run over something, then run over it completely..

Did he turn off the video camera because he was about to whoop some posterior? Of course I'm only guessing, but I figure it was a panicked driver who realized he/she had run a red light, then backed up and over the motorcycle. Why keep going after the initial hit? Good question...

[Randy B]

I read somewhere that it was a student driver and he/she freaked out in the middle of the intersection and didn't back up properly (obviously).

Yep, that's the Student Driver video. Wrong place at the wrong time. At least the rider was ok

[flynrider]

Someone did that to me at a red light a couple of months ago. I was so surprised it was happening I completely forgot about my horn. Fortunately, spewing profanity at the top of my lungs sufficed and they stopped within a few inches of my front wheel.

[veech_imp]

This was just painful to watch

[furious_blue_imp]

panicked student driver.. now that adds up.

scary.

my consciousness has been raised (or is that razed ?)

[Cormanus]

Ouch! He did well to get off and out of the way in time.

[veech_imp]

I was thinking the same thing
