my deluxe is broken... missing battery box cover!!
#1

Never knew it had one but was watching a video of the CB this morning and mine doesn't have the cover.
Not the end of the world, but I'm just a wee bit OCD so I want one. Before I spend $40 on one... does anybody not use theirs anymore and willing to part with it?
If it came with the toolkit, that'd be rad too. thanks!

Parts 4, 12, 17, and 18 though just need part 4

That is called a cover, but is actually the tool box. You need item 4, and items 17 and 18 to hold it in. Although Item 18 is a push pin that is a PIA and doesn’t do much. You’ll need an item 6 too if yours is missing from the underside of item 13. It is the nut for item 17.

Item 12 holds the tool bag in place.

The toolkit may come in handy but the box, incl the piece of elastic, screw and PIA push pin, is really not worth spending $40. In fact it is much more practical to keep your took kit in your backpack (or saddle bags, or pocket of your jacket) and leave that box/cover home. At least you have easier access to your battery when you need to.

Maybe so and I think I might just leave it as is. That battery is a pain in the butt to remove too. My tool kit is roadside assistance. Being retired I'm not in any hurry to get anywhere... Banana

Make certain that you have a strap around the batterie , you can make your own from thin webbing and use that than as a handle.

used a couple thick zip ties and left the tail on one of them pointing up. Makes it easy to pick that sucker straight up now.
