Curiously, the company is in rural Missouri.

Thanks for the link. I read it and am now having nightmares. I think I might adapt an old stocking in a tin can to engineer filtering improvement though. Seriously though, I recall a 1986 Suzuki gsxr 750 which I raced for 5 years and commuted on every single day . I did 35000 miles on it. I changed the oil every 2 meetings and the filter every 4. At 35000 the engine sounded as new.

I’ve never paid more than A$20 for a Honda oil filter.

where from Cormanus? I might get a couple posted...I tried 2 shops here and both were $36.00 so I assumed it was the going price...

I get them at the local dealer. I see they’re $33 at Peter Hill, but searching on the part number shows $15.72 at Brisbane Motorcycles https://www.brisbanemotorcycles.com.au/?...0-MFJ-D01.

I’ve used HiFlo too. Avoid K&N.

Here's a better link to the California Scientific cross reference oil filter page. I have used this for years on the different bikes I have had and never had a problem with any filter it recommended.

I have used the Walmart supertech 6607 filter the most on my previous bikes ($2.97) and never had any issue, haven't had the CB1100 long enough to change the oil yet, so haven't used it yet, but planning to.
