Fuel line retainer and dampener
#1
Hello friends, been a little while. The temps here soared to high 40s (°C) so I used the time to do some body work. I'll post a teaser, but it's far from done. Anyways, I need some help, the body shop guys lost the retainer and the dampener while doing the tank job, still don't understand how because I applied masking tape before taking it to the shop. I managed to source out a retainer here locally, but couldn't find a dampener, and it's been on backorder for over a month.
I'll entertain any ideas of how to make sure the retainer doesn't fall out when I reattach the fuel line to the pump. Thanks!!

The dampener is the rubber bit that resides on the tank's pipe next to the retainer? I may have a new one in my box of goodies. Hoes does the mail run between the U.S. and there? I'd be willing to send one if it's cheap and will get to you in a reasonable amount of time.

I may be taking a job in Abu Dhabi, too. I'll know more in a month or so. Where are you located?

Love the Honda name on the tank, instead of the badge.

That's how all of our bikes should have came from the factory.

Yes! I'll give you my shop and ship address in the US, I'd be supper happy if you had one laying around. As for the job in Abu Dhabi, if it pays off I'd say take it, and if you have more questions I'll be happy to answer them in PM
