My 2014 CB1100 DX front ABS brakes make a "australian rain stick" type noise whenever I engage them. Noise sounds like tiny grands of sand or bb's falling down a tube. The noise continues until I release the brake. Noise has been happening for over a year. Everything is well maintained on this 65k miles bike including pads, sensor ring, and tires. ABS light comes on at startup as it should and brakes work fine... just this weird noise has me wondering wtf.

Some people like the didgeridoo. Sounds like your CB is more of a didgeri-don't.
Sorry...
Is it a rythmic sound? Sort of like the ABS pump motor might be going out? Not much else mechanical in the system that I can think of to make a noise like that.

Good point, m. I'll get that clicking sound of the drilled rotors (on my bikes and my car) particularly when I'm braking near a wall or a building, and the sound can reflect back at me. Bflint, any chance this is what you're hearing?

I went to EBC pads recently and get the same thing.
