What I'm trying to pass along here is that the Z8 is an excellent tire which gives near-supersport grip levels (on the street, it ain't a track tire) while giving surprisingly good mileage, considering the grip.
No one's gonna get 8K miles out of a Z8 rear unless they're riding a very light, low-powered bike.
Hope that clears things up.
You need more than 8K, look elsewhere.

PR3 tires - Bike Bandit currently shows that they have Michelin Pilot Road 3 front in 120/70 x 18 and PR3 rear in 160/60 x 18. I believe Redbirds runs this combination. Don't know how many of each that they have but they show that they can ship these when I last looked less then 5 minutes ago.
I have the Conti Trail attack 2 150/70 on my 2013 and do like the tire , I just run 2lbs less pressure in the tire.
On my 2014 I run the Conti Road attack classic race 2 , very good grip in the twisties but go quickly square on the interstates.

Just checked Revzilla website and see the Pilot Road 3 is still available there in 18'. Only the 120 front is in stock and that's the tire I've been using now for 3 years with zero problems. The 160 is in stock for rear.

This is good news. I bought my last set last summer (knowing that Michelin had quit making them) and shortly afterward, they disappeared from both Revzilla's and Bike Bandit's websites. Good to see that they're back. I got the 120/70-18 for the front, as the 110/80-18s were already unavailable. I didn't really notice the difference running the slightly wider front tire.

Ordered a set of the oversized PR3s from Revzilla today. Supposedly in stock shipping out of Indiana tomorrow, supposed to be here Thur or Fri. Will let ya know.

Good to hear. I've always ran the 160 rear, but the 120 front will be new for me.

Just ordered a set of Bridgestone Battleax 54 Radials from Chaparral Motorsports. I don't deviate much from what the engineers/designers suggest on all my vehicles. I'm pretty much a "stock OEM" type when it comes to replacement parts. Bridgestones have served me well...no complaints.

Those are going to work well for you. I had those on mine. Grip is good, wear is fair. Ride is fine.
The BT45 is not such a good choice. Bias ply, old school.
