Hello all - I just purchased a 2014 CB1100 and found this site. It's already helped me with finding the right oil filter and crush washer sizes so I can give it a service over the holidays - thanks to The Feret and Suhawk305 for their posts on this in back in 2020! The Honda joins a 2025 Suzuki GSXR 750 and a 1995 Ducati 900 SS/SP in the garage, which is also home to a 1986 Porsche 911. Looking forward to learning from the brain trust here, and I will post my attempts at maintenance for your amusement. Cheers all, Jeb

Welcome, Jeb...nice to make your virtual acquaintance. As long as that oil filter is not a K&N oil filter, known failures with it on the CB1100.

As well as moto non-specialists.

Welcome, Jeb. Delighted to have you join our Community Forum. This weekend, I will begin my annual maintenance on the 2017 CB1100EX I am blessed to own. I will create threads for changing oil, brake fluid, clutch fluid, along with a few equipment swaps. Our motorcycles are very similar. You may find the Threads useful. However, note that I enjoy working on motorcycles as much as I do riding them. If you find something I do to be excessive, it probably is! Look forward to some pictures of your 2014 CB1100. That is a great motorcycle! David

Welcome to the Forum, Jeb and congratulations. You will find the folk here very helpful and encouraging. We have members from all over the world.
There's a difference in riding a naked bike and riding a bike naked.
Won't make that mistake again.

Oooh, timely! One of my winter projects is brake / clutch fluids for the CB. I'll expect a great how-to as you always do.

It's a fun machine to wrestle! Either I rode the CB more than I thought this last year, or the rear tire I didn't pay much for is not long lasting. Time for another rabaconda-round.
