Warm feet
#1
Anyone else notice their feet getting warm after riding for a while? I think the catalytic converter is getting quite hot and radiating a lot of heat. It could just be me.....but I'm suspecting not.

Randy,

On the Honda Elite 110 scooter I had the converter got pretty hot, so I imagine the CB's will too. I have an infrared thermometer. I'll have to shoot the muffler sometime and see what it reads.

Lol I ride an ST 1300. This thing feels air conditioned by comparison.

Well I rode home in rush hour traffic today in 95° heat. It surely didn't feel "air conditioned". Wink

Wow, we only get a few days a year that hot. On those days we ride early in the morning and late in the evening and avoid the heat of the day. Cool

Cool Here in North Carolina during August it can be 100* with 90% humidity...kinda makes you want to do a "Ricky Bobby"-tear your clothes off and run around yelling " I'm on fire!" Big Grin

I'm from Chicago so I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. And you have to dodge the mosquitoes because they will knock you off the bike if you hit one. Smile

A few days a year? Then again, that probably means that you also have winter Tongue Out here in the desert, it's 95 degrees or better about 7 months out of the year. During the hottest part of the summer, 115 is not unusual. You get used to it.

On the plus side, it's usually too hot and dry for the mosquitosBig Grin
