2013 price advice please
#1
I offered $5,500 for the 2014 but have not heard anything back.

What would you guys say is a fair price for a 2013 with 12,565 miles in Florida? Asking price is $4,300 + dealer fees = about $4,800.; What would be a good out the door offer?

In some states, "out the door" includes title, taxes, and registration, so it'd be impossible to say if $4800 is reasonable without knowing your specifics. Here's my take: if the bike has new tires and the dealer can provide evidence of a recent oil change and valve inspection, the paint is clean and shiny, and the bike is stock and unmolested, then $4300 plus fees (which should be negotiable) is a good dealer price. Even better if it's being sold by a Honda dealer so you can have some faith in the service work they performed. A used car lot? Not so much.

Last year I was paid $3500 for my 2013 ABS on trade with 52K miles.

Trade in values can get murky depending on the price negotiated for the new vehicle, but $3500 sounds about right for the market I'm familiar with. Keep in mind the dealer needs to mark up the $3500 when they resell the bike.

Over two years ago I paid 6200 for a 2013 standard with 3700 miles on it. I did my research on the Cb1100 so I knew what to look for as far as condition. I found the bike on Craigslist from an owner downsizing his garage. Check your local CL and even bikes listed for sale on this forum if it is close to you. From these sources, you will get a baseline price wise for the year and model you are looking for. Prices will vary across the country and if an owner needs to sell quickly, you just might find a good deal out there. Newer model CB's depreciate the older ones, but that's just how it goes. The CB is tuned for how I ride, I always have a smile on my face. Good luck and keep us posted when you find one.

Just a bit more context: I paid $6250 for my 2013 over a year ago. It had 1250 miles on it, and some nice accessories thrown in. Bone stock otherwise.
