Corbin Seat

Corbin always asks for height and weight and I believe adjustments are made .

I put a new corbin on the other day and took the bike for a 150 mile ride though the San Diego back country. I definitely feel the seat is higher than stock (I'm 6'). I also feel the reach to the bars is now longer. Must be how I'm sitting on the seat but I feel like I need to raise and push back the bars.

I suspect the issue is not the difference in height, but where you are now sitting. Unless it was hardly used, the previous owner would have shaped the seat based on where he (or she) sat, how much he weighed and shape of his derrière. That's the good thing about a Corbin... they break in to the fit the rider. That's also the bad news. You may remember in college, getting an old sofa from the salvage shop. Seemed like all of them must have been previously owned by a 350 lb guy. No matter where you sat, you slowly migrated to the crater left by his large a**. (Kinda like how you migrate forward towards the tank with the stock seat )

Any regrets in the Corbin seat? Is it just as comfortable or more so from day one with it?

Let's just say I had my first experience of how the stock seat is. Up until the 140 mike stretch yesterday I was alright with the stock seat but today I am paying for that stock seat pain...

Also with the Corbin, how does a tail bag work out?

I just got a used Corbin seat and I love everything about it except it is lower than the stock seat and my legs feel cramped. Is this typical for a Corbin or do they make them different depending on height, inseam etc...?

My Corbin is a bit taller than stock - a (slight) drawback in my case. I don't recall Corbin offering me a height choice.

Speaking of Corbin seats... Anyone with a CHIP BECK version have any top down photos? And then anyone with the standard Corbin seat have any top down photos?

Also, after some research on their seats, it seems that they have that leather protector and if you use that it would help with the elements, namely rain. Anyone have any truth to that? I just don't see the hardley a davidsons having vinyl seats and they are out in the elements all the time also.

Finally, the Chip Beck version, was there a big price difference or are they the same pricing??
