Ikon shocks ordered.

I just ordered Ikon shocks for Cap'n Kidd. Maybe that'll settle him down a bit as he was prone to want to try to buck me off and bite me in the fast sweepers and kick me in the ass over the rough pavement.

Dave over there is about the mellowest guy I've dealt with. They were $420.

When I get them installed I'll put on a few hundred miles and see how they work out.

Been thinking of ordering the Ikons also. Do they offer custom spring rates and damping?

Looking forward to your future report.

They do match the spring to your weight and riding style. It's a triple-rate spring so I expect good results. The damper has four settings, and Dave says that will give us all the damping we need. Seems the range is broad enough for general street riding.

Should be a couple of weeks, hopefully.

I really liked the ride qualities of my IKONS. But the bright red springs- bordering on orange - clashed with all the red on my bike - especially against the Chi Design red rear fender.

For around $400 shipped, IKONs are a great value and noticably improve ride comfort and handling. If I'd stuck with black springs or upgraded to chrome, IKONs would still be on my bike.

Yep, read your comments on this before I made the purchase. BTW I went with black springs and covers, with the chrome shock body. Seemed reasonable. ThanksThanks

Sounds like those shocks are going to look sharp. I hope they do the trick when it comes to the handling improvements that you're looking for.

I fitted a pair of Ikon's to my Triumph Bonneville and it transformed that bike - along with progressive fork springs.
I haven't ridden the CB enough or on enough different roads to form an opinion about the suspension, but so far it seems fine.
Time will tell.
