Samurider.com shipping to Canada

Have any Canadians ordered from Samurider yet?

If so, how was the product shipped?
What additional charges were applied?
I sent them an e-mail, but the response was unclear as to what company would be standing at my door with their hand out for their share.

I'm trying to avoid the criminal Brokerage, Duty and Taxes charged by the likes of the "Brown Shirts" (UPS). Shipping UPS to Canada usually results in charges amounting to another 40-60% on top of the purchased price. Understandably, I try to place orders from U.S. companies that ship via USPS as they typically do not charge duty, brokerage or Canadian taxes.

Well I am not in Canada, but my package came through the US mail, so I would guess your would be in the Canadian mail (whatever its called).

Sorry, haven't ordered anything from them.
Like you, I avoid UPS if at all possible because of their brokerage charges. Unless I absolutely have to have a certain item (rarely) I'll bite the bullet, but will shop elsewhere where there is USPS delivery.

BTW, we call it Canada Post up here.

Super quick shipping! Got it through Canada post and only had to pay brokerage on the fender which was giant in a giant box. Faster than ordering from the US.

So Brokerage Fee only,...No Duty or Taxes?
Was the Brokerage a set fee or a percentage?

The larger package was duty and taxes. The smaller ones had no charge at all.

Thanks!,....that's exactly what I wanted to know.
I'm thinking of ordering the K&H Tall seat which is expensive enough as it is.

Which brings up some other points for anyone who has ordered a K&H seat from Mr. T. at Samurider:

Were you asked your weight in order to provide the correct "Injection Sponge" density?

Did you have to specify the inclusion of the tandem/passenger strap?

Is there an "on-line" order form for questions such as this?
