I thought this had come up before. The Spaceman (Where is he now) reported [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1754&pid=20908#pid20908]here that he had used the Kaoko on his VStrom and found it excellent. He was talking about getting one for his CB. Whether he did or not, I don't know.

I played with a Kaoko throttle lock in a local bike shop and thought it looked excellent if only one cold find the right model.

See [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=3206&highlight=Kaoko]this thread too.

The fellow in our group who preceded me as a CB1100 owner has a Kaoko. He is pretty deeply involved in quality accessories for our bike and he loves the Kaoko. I can inquire which model he has if someone is interested.

Seems pricey for me but I'm a cheapskate.

Yep. I was considering something fancy like the Kaoko or Brakeaway, but finally settled on cheap and simple. The Go-Cruise in polished aluminum looks good and works very well.

A couple of weeks ago I set to 75 mph on the slab just outside of Tucson and it was still holding steady at 75 as I got to Phoenix about 95 miles later. Not bad for a simple friction type lock.

I have the Kaoko on my V-strom and am still getting used it operating it as I am used to the GoCruise I have on the CB. The Kaoko is definitely a quality piece and I expect I will get used to operating it with my pinky and/or ring finger.

I do echo others in recommending some sort of Palm paddle rest like a Crampbuster. What I don't like about the Crampbuster is how long it is. I have found some alternative products I like better due to a less obtrusive form:

On my CB, I have the Kuryakyn Universal Throttle Boss:

On my V-strom, I have the Throttle Rocker II:

I just thought I would share this as a word of caution. A good friend of mine who was a motorcycle police officer for 16 years and who still rides got into an accident a few years ago. He said it was due to the cruise control like the crampbuster. A car pulled in front of him and he pulled the front brake and back and as the front started to slide out his weight was shifted and he leaned down on the cruize which caused him to spinout and he hit a curb. He broke his shoulder! He still uses the cruize control and he feels it was a freak accident the way it happened.

I have an omni-cruise. It serves it's intended purpose and has some adjustment to vary the amount of resistance it has to rolling forward. Not a perfect solution, but much cheaper than a real cruise control:

Actually that's exactly the kind of info I was looking for geosar. I looked it up on the Twisted Throttle website and although it has to be backordered it appears to be available. I will be ordering one to try out when I get the chance. I'll let everyone know how it works out.

I do a lot of highway riding and definitely could use a CC of some type. I also looked at a universal Rostra cruise control. I've installed two of their cc's in my vehicles. I just finished installing one in my Scion iQ in December. Very easy, quality product and works great.

Though I have not installed such a cruise control, I understand the installation can be difficult. Good luck
