Tank Guard Options

I don't drink beer, but if you saw me from the side, you'd be forgiven for thinking I had a beer belly!

So my tummy and riding jacket have been gradually dulling the paint on the tank of my 2014 Standard.

I did some searches here, on Amazon, and RevZilla, and I'm not finding anything that I want to attach to my bike.

I don't want anything that looks like reptile skin or has skulls, dragons, or marvel superheroes on it. Or Chinese characters that say, "I can't read Chinese and I still bought this!"

I really just want a flat black, maybe with a mildly textured surface, similar to a bedliner in a pickup truck.

Any suggestions?

If you have a tank protector or tank pad on your Eleven, could you share a pic of it here? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately Tankslapper does not make anything to fit the new 2017 and later tank, despite the fact that the website says it fits "all years." They know this does not fit 2017 and later bikes because I exchanged e-mails with the owner just after I bought my 2017 and after calling around, he said he could not locate a bike to take measurements from, so he would not be making a kit for the new bikes. I have used their protectors on other bikes for years and I love them.

I use tank slapper. It comes on a roll, so you can make your own pattern, cut it out and apply it. I have a rectangular piece on my tank in the area your talking about. I also made pieces for the front facing portions of the tank for rock chips, and a piece where the seat rubs against the tank.

Making my patterns, I round all of the corners so they won’t catch and pull up when I wipe down the tank.

Is Tank Slapper a clear film? Or is it red?

Are the pieces precut, or do they require the user to measure and cut themselves? It's not clear from the link provided what it actually looks like before it's applied, it after.

It's still difficult to see what that Tank Slapper material actually looks like on the bike. Does it come in black?

No its clear as stated above. Snake skin is black
