Yamaha XSR700
#1
Has anyone here ever ridden one of the new Yamaha XSR700s? I do mostly city riding these days and occasionally I dream about adding a lighter bike to the garage.

Yes. They're awesome. Miggt have less power than the 900 but IMHO I think they're just better. Motor sounds sweet, it's snotty and they're not really that heavy. Change the exhaust system you're well under 400.
Plus upgrade parts are far cheaper.

That's good to hear. I love that the CB is a jack-of-all-trades but every once in a while I consider trading her in for two bikes - one for city riding (RE 650 / CB650R/ XSR700) and one for longer rides (Africa Twin). The challenge is that the CB1100 is incredibly reliable, affordable, rides nice and looks great! Maybe I could fit three bikes in my garage . . .

motoWest: If you can pull off the CB1100 + CRF1x00, I think your family will only see you at bedtime.

Trying to sell 2 of them now because I need the $$. The extra space would be a blessing.
