Very seriously considering a Yamaha Tracer GT. Would appreciate some feedback based upon knowledge and experience.
Never owned a Yamaha nor a three cylinder and figure it’s about time.

My son had the predecessor an FJ-09 with factory bags and trunk. He never had any issues with it. Was lightweight and had decent power. He thought it was an ok bike, but wasn't thrilled with it and after a year and 13 000 miles traded it for an MT-10.
The 2019 and 2020 models have upgrades that his didnt have, like heated grips and cruise control, and also better suspension and windshield I believe.

I rode my friend 1st gen Tracer before, the front is a bit light so adding weight at the back or running high speed while sitting upright cause the front to be unstable. And aggressive cornering are a bit scary as the front don't like to stay to the ground if you have a itchy right hand. The pickup with modified exhaust notes are exhilarating. I heard they fixed the unstable front on the GT version by changing some geometry. Just a short 500km ride so can't give much comment.
