Yamaha XSR700 - motoWest_imp - 05-20-2021 Has anyone here ever ridden one of the new Yamaha XSR700s? I do mostly city riding these days and occasionally I dream about adding a lighter bike to the garage. RE: Yamaha XSR700 - Rox_imp - 05-20-2021 Yes. They're awesome. Miggt have less power than the 900 but IMHO I think they're just better. Motor sounds sweet, it's snotty and they're not really that heavy. Change the exhaust system you're well under 400. Plus upgrade parts are far cheaper. RE: Yamaha XSR700 - motoWest_imp - 05-20-2021 (05-20-2021, 12:44 PM)Rox_imp Wrote: Yes. They're awesome. That's good to hear. I love that the CB is a jack-of-all-trades but every once in a while I consider trading her in for two bikes - one for city riding (RE 650 / CB650R/ XSR700) and one for longer rides (Africa Twin). The challenge is that the CB1100 is incredibly reliable, affordable, rides nice and looks great! Maybe I could fit three bikes in my garage . . . RE: Yamaha XSR700 - GoldOxide_imp - 05-20-2021 motoWest: If you can pull off the CB1100 + CRF1x00, I think your family will only see you at bedtime. Trying to sell 2 of them now because I need the $$. The extra space would be a blessing. |
