Power Commander - Map Screen Shot
#1
Just installed the Power Commander V, and as others have said it does smooth out the low/mid range, not sure it makes it more powerful, but fills in the throttle.
See screen shot of map below, the numbers are percentages of increase in fuel at given RPM.
Looks like from 1750 to 6000 RPM they are adding some fuel.

Yeah, it richens up the entire range to what it really should be. EPA mandated factory settings are way too lean. She'll run a bit cooler too.

I wonder if there's no adds above 7k because it doesn't need it or because they didn't take the rpms higher..

2nd ride today.....if you thought the CB was smooth before, even more so now with the PCV.

That's great! Was this done through some sort of 'autotune', professional tune or was it the 'stock' map that came with PCV?

This is the one and only map they now have, its the one preloaded on the PCV and same as one they show on the website that can be downloaded. I do have a Staintune, not sure how much different a map with one of those would be.....

I'm wondering by locking in these value's does the ECU still have its functions to monitor for elevation changes, retard and advance timing for low or high octane gas. I know when they set up PC's at the track all these factors come into consideration.

After installing the PCV, it will not be able to change timing according to the octane of gas you put in.

I was looking for this type of info on their web page, did you read this somewhere or know this from some other source?
