I have the same issue when taking off the stand, the bike moves forward sometimes but its my own fault because I stand mine on a square of slippy plastic so I can push the bike nearer the wall when its on the stand.
If memory serves me right I think back in the 60's/70's scooters had rubber feet on the stands ?

Try those rubber things for ends of crutches and canes.

I would like to find a solution for this. The bottom of my center stand "feet" have been ground down to the metal and are much more slippery than on my old Nighthawk.
The fact that they sell rubber boots for scooter center stands is encouraging.
I will keep my eyes open and if I find a solution I'll share it here.

Just thinking about this thread after I put my bike on the center stand last night when I got home to lube the chain.
One thing I do which might help is this - as I mentioned earlier, I put a rubber mat on the floor before I lift the bike onto the center stand. When I'm ready to bring it back down, as I stand on the left side of the bike, I plant one foot in front of the left edge of the center stand while I lift the bike off the stand using the rear grab rail. That helps to keep the bike from sliding.

My EX seems pretty solid on the centre stand, are you all putting you bike on and off the stand on a frozen lake? (Not applicable to Canadians, I know you probably are most of the winter.)

I have an epoxy granite look garage floor that I wanted to preserve. My solution to protecting the floor and eliminating center stand slide is this mat:

It is thick and the entire back is rubber, so no slide. There has not been, but if there were any fluid leaks, the mat would catch it, plus it is a guide for parking in the same spot after every ride.

No procedure, technology or product application to protect the epoxy floor?

I would love to see a CB1100 posing on a frozen lake. I think it would look awesome.
