Please excuse me if this has been covered, I couldn't find it by searching.
I need the torque settings for;
1) The oil drain plug
2) The oil filter.
For the oil filter. What size filter socket fits?
Oh also, warm engine, hot engine or cold engine?
My reasoning is, hot engine - thin oil with all the crap in suspension, but maybe it's cold oil settled to the drain plug area with all the crap in?
Many thanks.

The factory service manual says 30 Nm or 22 ft lb for the drain plug and 18 Nm or 13 ft lb. I always use a fresh crush washer and just snug the drain plug. I hand tighten the filter. Run the engine to normal temp and check for leaks. Never a leak in over 40 years of doing it this way.
No mention in the manual for the engine being hot or cold but would be reasonable to assume that the engine would be warm since the oil should be drained when still hot.
I use the same dirt cheap filter wrench that I got at the discount store years ago for my Honda Civic.

The filter wrench that fits Honda car filters is the same and can be picked up cheap at a discount store.

I always drain the oil as hot as possible. Not only will any contaminants be in suspension, but hot oil is thinner and will drain faster and more completely.
I have a special "oil change glove", which is actually just an old thick (oil soaked) leather work glove. I put it on to protect my hand from the hot oil when I unscrew the drain bolt.
Edit : Oh, I also don't torque the filter. Once the filter seats, it gets an extra half turn. Been doing it that way for decades and haven't had one leak yet.

Sounds reasonable. Being a bush mechanic, torque wrench for bearings, cylinder heads etc. and the rest by feel. So far so good (50yrs).
Cheers

My stock filter was tightened to at least 800 pound feet. Took an immense amount of work to get it off! Hand tightened the hell out of the new filter.

Hard to believe how difficult it can be to remove the original oil filter on some bikes. The first oil change I did on my wife's '07 V-strom, I drove a screw driver through the filter body and still could not free it. A 24" pipe wrench and some elbow grease finally got it.
I've read that failure to lube the filter O ring is the usual cause.
Hand tighten only and always lube the filter O ring.

Redbirds, I believe the manual calls for 19 foot pounds on the filter (not 13)
regardless yea hand tighten. 19 ft lbs is a lot.
