I know many forum members have used Power Commanders

with their CBs, but what about the Bazzaz..anybody try it? Seems to me that the
Z-AFM

assuming you have considered and ruled out an ECU re-flash?

It will not only do air/fuel mixture, will also do timing tweaks AND take the upper speed and rev limit off...in case you ever want to go over 112MPH.

Its not really the top speed I am looking for. The Bazzaz offers their downloadable Z-Mapper which has many maps you can use or adjust and see which works best for you and change the map with on the fly options. More to optimize what I already have.

Lots of people on here (including myself) have had good experiences with the Power Commander. There isn't really any more power to be found in these engines with a piggyback tuner; the only thing you are really going to is smoother throttle response and better fueling. You can get this as well with the reflash, and the elimination of the TRE in the first 3 gears will actually give you noticibly more punch in the lower gears.
I love what the PCV did for my bike, but I've never had any experience with any competitors.

It would seem to me that they do just about the same thing and the power commander can be had cheaper and more local tuners have the software to work with them. I have a PCV and some exhaust mods and am happy i bought one. The bike is definately more responsive with the PCV tune alone. I looked at the Bazaaz and the fueling changes it makes with the stock bike map are drastically different than the PCV stock tune? I don't know what to make of that. With the piggy back system i don't have to mess with my ECU and if i ever want to sell the bike i simply unplug the PCV and sell it to power junkies on this forum (from what i can gather there are plenty). I plan to have my bike dynod soon and a few people on the forum have been kind enough to post their fuel maps to help us build up a library for modified bikes (it's more like a pamphlet now) and plug and play set ups for PCV. I plan to do the same when i get my bike tuned. It is unlikely either of those companies will release any more maps for this model and as of now they only have 2 posted and it's not a popular model for honda. ANyhow let us know what you go with and your experience.
