I use to have an excellent relationship with two Saturn dealerships. Bought three cars. Service treated me the best I have ever received anywhere. The relationship died when GM decided to scuttle the division that was in the black.

I have a great relationship with my local Yamaha/Honda dealer but I worked for them from 1972-1974, and have known, worked with, and raced mx against the current owner since he was 14 (about 45 years I think), attended his wedding, Christmas parties at his house, his wife's 40th birthday party and bought 10 motorcycles and an ATV from them. Their head mechanic has been working on my stuff for about 25 years. If I don't show up at the shop for a couple of days, he calls or texts to make sure I'm alright.

However, my task didn't originally include pulling the O2 sensor, so i never looked that part up. It only became a need when i realized that Mr. T. had left the special plug bolt for the O2 sensor port out of my package when i ordered my new headers. My backup plan become to use the old O2 sensor to plug the hole at that point, which is why i needed to pull it. The O2 bung plug bolt DOES NOT come with the headers. I took the collector to ACE hardware and bought a stainless bolt that fit. Koken 3300FN-17 socket is the answer

well that's that then. test rides are successful. nothing is falling apart. I guess I can button up this thread with a picture.
![]() She certainly breathes now. I haven't yet ridden enough to feel the effect on my gas mileage, but the pickup is much more aggressive, and the power band is much more sharply defined. There's a strongly noticable boost in power over 3500rpms and the 0-60 is actually kind of alarming now. on top of that, it is LOUD. I mean it was open before but with the cat gone it is savage and grumbly. the decel sounds like a deep dark thunderstorm. Next step: Sprockets. I already have them, so it's just a matter of making time to get them on. god knows how awful that will be.

looks good Mr P. You see, all your struggles are worth it when you persevere and accomplish the task at hand. Nothing is ever as bad as it seems at the time in retrospect. And now you have a VERY rare and unique CB. Not many with those headers on the road. Well done.
I have the same Delkevic can BTW. Love it. Sure would like to hear it without the cat! (05-07-2019, 09:57 AM)teamvisegrip_imp Wrote: bheezy27403 Carry on. We believe you now. Drooling emoji

i actually tried to record it already. cellphones are not adequate. the base of the exhaust noise now completely overwhelms the little microphone and the recording is just garbled distortion.

Well done. it was already pretty Rare with the MIZ tail, but now i've added a MIZ carbon fiber front fender too. The Paint job I get next year will put it over the top. |
