The 2017 CB1100 has a rear seat loop that looks like it attaches to the same bolts that the 2014 rear seat hand rails attach to. Has anyone bought a seat loop from the 2017 and put it onto the 2014?
I understand that it will probably get in the way of the rear fender/tail light. I intend to make a bracket for a new tail-light.

Me and a few others have done it. Mine a 2013. It requires fabbing a bracket for the rear frame attachment.. Mine was mounted at a slight upward angle and the bracket included remounting the rear turn signals. You'll have to deal with them. Mr. Higgins tap and died the rear grab rail mounting hole for his turn signals. Also, if you have a stock saddle it will not mount flush to the saddle as the 2017's do. There will be a gap and my mount angle lessens the gap to the rear and it has a kind of a spoiler look.
Cinch down those front bolts and you can then determine the rail position you prefer by moving the back of the rail up and down. Then make some cardboard templates for the bracket and start hacking and grinding and painting. Good luck.
