For those of us that have or bought one, where and how did you mount it? I have one that is plug and play but would like some ideas on how and where to mount it. Thanks Look at you, Mr. Big Shot. Trying to hijack this thread. Where do you get off? Oh, this is your thread, isn't it? And you actually had a legitimate question. C'mon guys, stop being so rude to 1100rider! He's been patient enough. There, that should do it.

apparently only Hula Dog and Cormanus (who bought Hula dogs unit used) have any actual experience with installing an aftermarket gear indicator and Cormanus explained how he did it back in post #14 on page 2

Perhaps what he needs is a picture of the connector that he needs to plug the GIPro into.

Hey Cormanus, can you snap a pic for him? (Cormanus is in Australia so he is probably sleeping right now lol)

Because, the gear indicator was calibrated for the northern hemisphere, the display will actually be upside down when installed in the southern hemisphere. So, when Cormanus takes a picture of the display, his bike will be upside down, but the image of the display will appear in it's correct orientation as long as that photo is viewed in the northern hemisphere. When I travel down under next year, I'm going to have to download an app for my phone so that the display isn't upside down when I am there. It also keeps your photos you take on the phone from getting slipped over once you return to the northern hemisphere.

Undecider,
The fun part of the trip is when your plane gets to the equator and has to flip over for correct orientation! ![]() Kiwikevin--that VIDEO was in Kanji. I couldn't understand it... ![]() On a more serious note, the DTC connector is a 4pin red connector. The 2pin red connector in the same area is an accessory connector.

Not only the was the video in Kanji, I couldn't read the numbers on the speedometer because they were written in metric.
