John just adding to the information;
The cel was likely set when you started the bike with the old battery and a no-start.
This happened to me on the cb1000r, it had a "hiccup moment " when i started the bike, i red the code ( with the dlc connector procedure ) and from memory it was 67 or something like that.
Could not find the explanation for this code and reset it by the same method, no adverse effects were ever present so i assume it was a low battery code.
glad to know it has cleared and as far as i understand; blinking cel is current event, solid cel is a historic event.
