Odd Throttle Clicking When Accelerating or Decelerating

You can feel a clicking through the throttle grip itself? Does it change in frequency with the speed of the bike? There is a sound that accompanies the clicking feel?

There are two throttle cables (one for positive close as a safety feature) that work the butterflies, in addition to a return spring that works to close the throttles. There is a throttle position sensor on the left side of the throttle body bank to measure the angle of the butterflies, but it has no motors or servos that could introduce a vibration or sound.

I wonder if something is contacting one of the cables along their route and transmitting some vibration. Weird, for sure, that it only happens when the throttle position is changing.

Those cables run through a cutout in the engine heat shield that sits above the cylinder head. Has the heat shield been off for a valve clearance check or something else? I suspect if the cables aren't routed properly, something could be contacting them.

Also check that both cables are captured properly in the little stay hook near the right side of the steering head.

Bike only has 900 miles on it so nothing has been taken apart, but maybe was put together incorrectly when taken out of the crate. I’ll take a look if I ever pull the tank off. Thank you for you advice.

Does anyone else notice a clicking sound/feeling in the throttle when it is accelerated 1/4 in, then also when decelerating too?

Only happens when the bike is running and the throttle is moved slowly. I figure it could be something to do with the fuel injection system since it only happens when running? I’ve tried adjusting the throttle cables/positions on housing, lubing cables/housing, and tightening housing to no luck.

Just kind of annoying when riding. Wondering if anyone else has experienced it/mended. 2015 standard model.
