Valve clearances

It’s not clear to me that there is anything other than cosmetic change from 2017. I could, of course, be wrong.

I'm not sure if the valve clearances changed but they did alter the camshaft lobes for this new "off-set" burble in the 2017 change.

Sorry if I am mistaken but this review of the new 20117 release models led me to believe otherwise. I can't see how Honda would of managed this without mechanically changing the camshaft.

First there’s that glorious engine. The need to comply with Euro4 prompted changes in itself but Honda has also taken the opportunity to enhance the character of the motor with revised valve timing on two of the four cylinders to produce a more ‘curdle-ly’ sensation – particularly at higher revs.

Does anybody know if the valve clearances are the same for the cb1100ex (2017 onwards) and the older model.
Mine is coming up to the 8000 miles mark now and looking at the forum information it looks alot harder than on my bandit 600. As there is no workshop manual for this bike I would be greatful for any information.

Valve clearance;
IN 0.15 ± 0.03 (0.006 ± 0.001)
EX 0.28 ± 0.03 (0.011 ± 0.001)

Can you please confirm if for the 2017 CB1100 and RS valve clearance is identical.
