I have those inserts in my 2014 and they were an absolute must but primarily because the stock springs were under sized for my weight. I do like to ride briskly on the mountain roads and before the front tire was wearing in a way that also suggested I was having suspension issues. For faster stable cornering the linear springs in the inserts do make a noticeable difference but for cruising I’m not sure how much you would notice. You can put a zip tie on your fork on the upper part to see how far your forks compress when riding. Just place it at the bottom. After you ride measure the position relative to where it was originally. You can compare that distance to the maximum fork travel to get an idea of how close you are to bottoming out. If you are close you would benefit by having properly sized springs. You are welcome to ride mine if you want to see if you can tell a difference. I’m not far from you.
