For the pair- I simply pulled the main hose and stuff a rubber vacuum cap of the right size inside it and put the hose back on the valve cover. Looks stock, and only takes a couple minutes to do, or remove if desired.
As much as I have changed on the bike- I want it to look like it rolled out of the factory this way- in 1982.
No need to go crazy with deleting anything unless you are wanting a 'cleaner' look or 'lighter weight'...which would be negligible. Also no need for the 'block off plates' you see people use.
