I installed a 17 tooth front sprocket on my bike last weekend and I absolutely love it. I agree with all of the comments in this thread, the bike feels more alive both off the line and in the corners. It also feels better at low speeds, I used to always feel like it was reving too high in first or too low in second, but now it feels just right.
I have a 2013 five speed, and yes it does rev a little high on the freeway, but I think that a 17th sprocket would be perfect on a 2014 six speed.
