No, I was kidding.
But on serious note, each time when i adjust valves, I set them as close to the specified value as shims make it possible (e. g. 0.28 and 0.15mm respectively), and they can have 0.03mm deviation, which means, some valves’ clearance may change by 0.03-0.04 on the course of 24k miles. That obviously doesn’t mean that progression is linear. It’s totally possible that once the valve sets on some value, it may change very little on a big course of time (miles) which would explain why guys who don’t adjust valves don’t have major issues
