I am aware that tremendous advances have been made in tires over the last 15 years and that the 17 inch rim is now an accepted standard. But just 15 years ago the top Superbikes raced on 18 inch rims and the EXACT same size tires that we have on our CB11's. They did have a slightly lower profile. Some of the best riders who have ever lived hung it out at rediculous lean angles and 140+ MPH speeds on a 140/18 rear tire and a 110/18 front. The capabilities of the tires on the CB11 probably exceed the ability of 99% of the men who will ever ride one. They certainly exceed mine. Most of us could ride a road course at the best of our abilities on the finest modern superbike and an old dog expert like Freddie Spencer could easily blow us away on a bone stock CB11.
The biggest limiting factor on any bike I get on is me. Cheers.
