I know the rake and what it means. Can you describe in dummy language what has changed with the trail? Is the wheelbase changed?
it cannot be explained in dummy language, other than to say that with too little trail the front wheel will oscillate like the crazy wheel on a bent shopping cart.
Believe it or not, that sort of explains what I was thinking. Trail is something that has to be addressed when setting up a sidecar and I have had to deal with the trail issue before, but from the sidecar end while setting it up. Sometimes changes have to be made with the front end such as fork bridges and triple trees. Steering can be greatly affected. My friend has a sidecar on a '13 and I'm hoping the '14 will not be any different and present problems.
Thanks!
