That is correct. Big Honda street bikes are SC , mid size (like my CB750) are RC and so on... The 65 is just the next sequential model number that was available when the bike was designed.
Somewhere on the 'net I've seen a web page that lists all Hondas by model number. You can see from that the numeric model number gets higher as the years go by. Not sure what Honda is going to do when they finally reach "99".

Looks like the SCs are up to number 74 (CTX1300AE) and the RCs are up to number 83 (CB/CBR650F).
