GPS mounted at handlebar

Your's is similar to the setup of my ZUMO 590LM. I too routed the main power & USB charging cord under my tank, then zip-tied & bundled the un-used audio, mike, & whatever that other connector is and tucked them under back of tank. I crimped circle terminals to the power leads and attached them to the battery. Unlike your mount, mine came with a RAM mount in the box. It utilizes a horse shoe shaped bolt to attach the mount post to the handlebars. The mount post has a 1" ball that a short adjustable arm connects to and the GPS mount also has a 1"ball that connects to the other end of the arm. Now the unit is infinitely adjustable by means of loosening & re-tightening the adjustable arm. Also there is a medium & long adjustable arm available too if the short one doesn't do the job. I think RAM mounts are the best because they are versatile in so many way's. I bought and installed a 2nd mount for my Harley too so I can just attach to whatever bike I'm riding that day.

(In a couple of the picture's you can see where I just wrapped the excess USB power connector cable around my left handlebar riser. Didn't know, and still unsure, where the best placement for this is yet. Comes in real handy to keep my iPhone charged!)
