They can be shimmed. I actually have Harley highway pegs on my ST1300. They were put on by the previous owner and were shimmed to clamp on the the kinda small tip over bars the ST has. (For you ST guys, it was Ridem and he cut the tip over bar covers so the pegs would fit.

His shim didn't hold good enough so I made some new ones from some flat aluminum stock, that I curved to fit. Works good. And would most likely work good here too.
