Honda engine guard with a Harley foot rest?

Twisted Throttle sells a really classy looking highway peg mount that is more in the style of our bikes. The Harley mounts are nice but might look a bit over the top on a bike like the CB.

You could also just mount clamps n pegs on your down tubes without the need of crash bars.Your pegs subsitute the crash bars.thats what i did anyway and it worked out perfect.Kuryakin 1.5inch claps mounted just under the lower eng. mount bolt.the riding position feels great and at 50 years old, after shifting ,and riding in the standard position ,its like going to a different bike once the feet hit the highway pegs.its a nice comfortable ride on the highway or anywhere once you hit that last shift in gears.I dont know why anyone would want to ride in the standard position on open roads for very long, at highway cruising speeds you want to relax,and thats what these new pegs do for me anyway.

Personally I have never liked riding with a feet forward position. First of all, every bump goes straight to the back bone, whereas when you sit upright with your legs bent underneath you, the legs take up much of the bumps. Also, as mentioned by another member, the lack of control of the bike with the feet forward. Granted when you just go straight, the control of the bike can be debated. I suppose we are lucky here in Europe to have alternatives to straight highways as I personally hate riding on them. But to each his own.
