Either way you should always replace the stems even if the have integrated TMPS because the batteries have a limited life and you don't want to have to dismount your tires to replace the stems after you have already paid to have the tires mounted and balanced.
Well, I am replacing both tires come spring so I will be sure to have new stems put on the front and back. It just never dawned on me to do this back this spring and the bike is almost 12 years old now. A 3 dollar part has caused me 100 dollars worth of headaches. Yet another lesson learned.
