Bike wouldn't start

Curlyjoe everything was normal, the lights came on the rev counter and speedo needle swung round as usual. It was as I hit the start button - nothing at all. No attempt to turn over and start. I checked the kill switch was ok, side stand was up just nothing.

I checked the battery terminals, the switch under the clutch lever, sprayed the kill switch assembly with GT85. Still nothing on hitting the start button. I then took out each fuse and replaced them, sprayed the whole fusebox with electrical contact cleaner - tried the bike and it fired up first time ? I've since took each fuse out and coated them in electrical grease. I've tried the bike again today and it's fine.

To clarify, you "took out each fuse and replaced them": you simply took them out and put back in the same ones, re-seating the same fuses, right? And not you replaced them with new fuses?
