The black rubber tab just moves out of the way so you can squeeze the plastic tab. I had to use pliers because I simply wasn't strong enough in that tiny space to do it any other way. Unfortunately, with metal pliers, you risk causing a spark and blowing yourself up, however, if you get a pair of plastic pliers (often used in electrical work), you can get it done.
