Someone with a factory service manual may be able to tell you how to determine what fault caused it. Without knowing that, I wouldn't ride it except slowly to the dealer or a qualified mechanic.
An addendum: things may different on the 2017RS, but the Owner's Manual for the 2010 bike says the engine (or PGM-FI) malfunction indicator lamp,
Quote:Lights when there is any abnormality in the PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection) system. Should also light for a few seconds and then go off when the ignition switch is turned ON and the engine stop switch is at ⟳ (RUN).
If it comes on at any other time, reduce speed and take the motorcycle to your Honda dealer as soon as possible.
